Michael Douglas’ Son Cameron Hurt in Prison
Gregg DeGuire/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) — It has been revealed that Cameron Douglas, the 34-year-old, convicted drug dealer son of Oscar winner Michael Douglas, was hurt behind bars two months ago, and the New York Post reports a mobster’s vendetta is to blame.
The paper reports a “crime family captain” put a hundred dollar bounty on the head of Douglas, who is currently serving a 10 year sentence in a Pennsylvania prison. The criminal boss said Douglas was a “rat” for testifying against his drug supplier, and as such was supposed to be deliberately injured during the prison’s flag football season. Douglas reportedly got wind of the plot and dropped out of the league.
Douglas got hurt regardless, after an apparent attack that left a leg and a finger broken. “He broke his femur, which is hard to snap,” a source tells the paper. “He told health services…that he [got] hurt playing handball. You don’t break a femur playing handball.”
The leg was reportedly so badly injured that Douglas needed a rod inserted into the limb. The paper reports the injury was misdiagnosed at first, leading to the former club DJ suffering from a blood clot — and requiring him to walk on crutches two months after the attack.
