China Opens World’s Longest High-Speed Rail Route
ChinaFotoPress/ChinaFotoPress via Getty Images(BEIJING) — China has broken the record for the longest high-speed rail line in the world.
The country on Wednesday christened its new 1,400 mile route that travelers can take in just eight hours.
The train runs between the capital Beijing and Guangzhou in the south and travels at almost 200 miles per hour.
