New Clean Diesel Refuse Truck Purchased
The City of Whiting, with the assistance of South Shore Clean Cities Inc., a nonprofit organization sponsored through the U.S. Department of Energy program, and the BP-CADER Program will be hosting a press conference on Monday, April 18 from 9:00 – 10:00 am at Whiting City Hall, 1443 119th St. to announce the purchase of a new Clean Diesel Refuse Truck. The program provided up to $450,000 in total funding through a competitive grant process for qualified project that reduce diesel emissions. http://www.southshorecleancities.org/
