INDOT is suspending road work in construction zones across the state for the Memorial Day holiday. INDOT has directed its contractors to pull back barriers and barricades in the interest of safety because of the increase in holiday travel. Also, all South Shore Trains will operate on a holiday schedule during the official observance of Memorial Day on Monday. Eastbound South Shore trains will NOT disembark passengers between Millennium Station at Randolph St. and 63rd St. The holiday moratorium on Indiana Toll Road construction will last until 8 p.m. EST on Tuesday, May 31. All 80/90 PUSH work is halted for the Memorial Day weekend, and will resume Tuesday evening with work moving into eastern LaPorte County and western St. Joe County (MP 48-54 and MP 61-69).
