INDOT is alerting drivers of the temporary closure of the east and westbound exit ramp of State Road 2 to northbound State Road 49, Wednesday, June 8, between 7am and 3pm. This closure is necessary so crews can complete resurfacing work on State Road 49 at the ramp location. During the project, the SR 2 ramp to southbound SR 49 will remain open. Drivers wishing to access northbound SR 49 can travel south on SR 49 and utilize the interchange at U.S. 30, Mile Marker 30 to access northbound SR 49.
INDOT announced the closure of the westbound I-94 ramp to eastbound U.S. 20/35 (exit 40A) running through the middle of September. Crews will also restrict traffic to two lanes in each direction, between mile marker 38 and mile marker 41. These closures are necessary so crews can resurface and restore the I-94 bridges that run over U.S. 20/35 and Trail Creek. During the closure, drivers traveling westbound on I-94 wishing to exit east on U.S. 20/35 will be detoured via the westbound U.S. 20/35 Dog Leg Ramp to the U.S. 212 interchange, where they will follow the ramps to gain access to eastbound U.S. 20/35.
