Summer Drunk Driving Enforcement Program Begins May 27th
Porter County Police Agencies announced the start of a new summer drunk driving enforcement program. The high-visibility enforcement campaign will run from May 27 through September 30th. During the enforcement period, local law enforcement will show zero tolerance for those driven impaired. Increased state and national messaging about the dangers of driving drunk, coupled with sobriety checkpoints and increased officers on the road, aim to drastically reduce drunk driving on our nation’s roads. The summer enforcement program is supported by federal funding allocated to Porter County TSP from the Traffic Safety division of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
