Michigan City Named Tax Friendly Place To Retire

According to a recent study from SmartAsset, a New York-based financial technology company, Michigan City is one of the most tax-friendly places for retirees in Indiana. Michigan City came in 2nd place behind Westville in 1st place. LaPorte was 3rd and Lake Station was 6th place. The study ranks cities on a Retirement Tax Friendliness Index, which takes into account property, income, fuel, sales, and Social Security tax data.
