2 bailiffs and gunman killed in Berrien County Courthouse shooting
In a story WIMS has continued to follow, on Monday there was an incident at the Berrien County Courthouse in which two court officers, 61 year old Joseph Zangaro and 63 year old Ronald Kienzle, were shot and killed Berrien County Sheriff Paul Bailey told reporters at a press conference. Police say an inmate, 45 year old Larry Gordon from Coloma, was on his way to the courthouse when he got a gun away from an officer. Gordon had numerous felony charges and was shot and killed by other officers. Also injured in this incident were a Berrien County Sheriff’s Deputy, 41 year old James Atterbury, and a civilian woman who has not been identified, are being treated at Lakeland hospital.
