Former Congressman John Brademas Has Passed Away

Former Congressman John Brademas, who spent 22 years representing Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives, including four years as House Majority Whip, has passed away. The Mishawaka native was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a graduate of Harvard University and Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. He was elected as a Democrat to Indiana’s 3rd Congressional district in 1959, a position he held until 1981.
