Hoosier unemployment drops in June
Indiana’s unemployment rate dropped 0.2 percent to 4.8 percent during the month of June. Indiana was among the top states for employment growth over the month, employment increased by 8,500. The department says Indiana’s labor force grew by more than 3,400 in June, and has grown by more than 190,000 since January 2013. The state’s highest growth sectors for June were leisure and hospitality, construction and private education and health services. Sectors including professional and business services and manufacturing reported losses last month.
