South Shore Offers
The South Shore Line and South Bend Public Transportation Corporation (Transpo) are offering FREE shuttle bus service between the Airport and Notre Dame Stadium for this year’s home football schedule. Arriving South Shore Line passengers will board a Transpo bus near the South Shore train platform at the Airport for the quick trip to the stadium. The coach will drop off passengers next to Eck Visitors Center/Bookstore on campus. For Saturday’s game, Eastbound passengers will arrive on Train 503 12:10 pm ET and board a waiting Transpo bus. The South Shore will operate its regular westbound weekend train service on game day Saturdays. Please note that we have trains departing South Bend at 5:45 p.m. ET (Train 508) and 10:16 p.m. ET (Train 510). Transpo will stage at the drop off location on campus and leave at 8:30 p.m. to meet Train 510 at 10:16 p.m.
Also the South Shore Line is inviting all first responders to ride the train free of charge on Saturday, Sept. 10, and Sunday, Sept. 11. In order to take advantage of this promotion, all first responders must present ticket collectors with valid active duty identification. All active-duty police officers, firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers and emergency medical technicians are welcome.
