ABC(LOS ANGELES) — The season-23 premiere of Dancing with the Stars was interrupted by unauthorized incursion onto the ballroom dance floor Monday night during a judge’s critique of disgraced U.S. swimmer Ryan Lochte.

Two men walked onto the stage, and were tackled to the ground by security. Four or five other women were escorted out of the audience as part of a group chanting against Lochte.

There were shouts of “liar!” during the live broadcast.

Lochte and his professional partner, Cheryl Burke, seemed bemused but otherwise unaffected.

The show went to a commercial break, and upon its return co-host Tom Bergeron explained that there had been “an incident.” He thanked the show’s security team for acting swiftly.

After the show, Lochte said he would brush off the incident.
