ABC – 2016(LOS ANGELES) — The 68th Emmy Awards will be presented live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles this Sunday night. Jimmy Kimmel will host the ABC broadcast, which will air live from coast to coast, beginning with a red carpet special at 7 p.m. ET, 4 p.m. PT.

HBO’s hit fantasy series, Game of Thrones, garnered a leading 23 nods when the nominations were announced in July. It won nine awards last weekend at the Creative Arts Emmys, which mostly recognizes technical achievements.

Game of Thrones, which snapped up a record 12 Emmy Awards last year, is the reigning best drama winner. It’s back in the category this year, and will compete against Showtime’s Homeland, USA Network’s Mr. Robot, FX’s The Americans, Netflix’s House of Cards, AMC’s Better Call Saul and PBS’ Downton Abbey.

Peter Travers, host of ABC’s Popcorn with Peter Travers, would like to see a new winner. His personal pick:The Americans.

The leading nominee among comedy series is HBO’s Veep, which was named best comedy last year. On Sunday, it’s up against ABC’s Modern Family and black-ish, Netflix’s Master of None and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Amazon’s Transparent, and HBO’s Silicon Valley in that category.

Travers thinks black-ish could pull off the win here.

Presenters during the telecast will include Tom Hiddleston, Bryan Cranston, Claire Danes, Michelle Dockery, Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Rami Malek, Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laverne Cox, Aziz Ansari, James Corden, Larry David, Chris Rock and more.

In addition, Henry Winkler will introduce the In Memoriam segment with a remembrance of Garry Marshall, who created his hit sitcom Happy Days. Tori Kelly will perform during the segment.
