IDOE identifies 8 new Promising Practices
The Indiana Department of Education has identified eight new Promising Practices throughout the state. The department is seeking to name 200 high-quality education programs that have a positive influence on students in celebration of the state’s bicentennial. Each Promising Practice named by the IDOE is shared with teachers throughout the state as examples of best practices for students. They include practices in family and community engagement, student-centered programming, wrap-around services, counseling support, school safety, school climate and culture and research-based practices. To date, 156 Promising Practices have been identified by the department. You can learn more about the program by clicking: http://www.doe.in.gov/outreach/list-promising-practices
