Bank robbery in Michigan City Thursday

On Thursday May 11th, Michigan City police were notified of a bank robbery at 5th/3rd bank 3710 Franklin St. Officers arrived to learn that a heavy set white male entered the bank and indicated to a teller that he had a weapon. An undisclosed amount of money was given to the suspect who fled the building. Officers and detectives immediately started to investigate, speaking with witnesses, and gathering evidence. Det. Pliske who was on scene was assigned the case. Evidence was gathered, witnesses were spoken to and it was soon learned that there was the possibility of more than one person being involved in the robbery. With the examination of evidence and assistance from the public, possible suspects were soon learned. Testimony was given in front of Honorable Judge Michael Bergerson Superior Court #1. Following testimony warrants were issued for two men; 43 year old Bryan Burch, on one count of robbery, bond set at $25,000.00 Cash; 42 year old Keith English on one count of aiding, inducing, causing Robbery and bond set at $25,000.00. On May 17th, 2017 Keith English was taken into custody without incident on Ripley St. in Gary by the Fugitive Apprehension Street Team.
