While almost one thousand Indiana drivers have pledged to “Put The Phone Down” since April, the ITR Concession Company (ITRCC), Indiana Motor Truck Association and Indiana State Police on Thursday called for all motorists to help end distracted driving by making pledge videos and challenging others to do the same. As part of the campaign, a brief video has been released in which Rick Fedder, Chief Operating Officer of ITRCC, talks about his daughter almost losing her life in an accident involving distracted driving. “Don’t let this happen to you,” he said. “Challenge your family. Challenge your friends. Put The Phone Down!” The video also features Indiana State Police and K-9 unit, Gary SouthShore RailCats baseball players and other ITRCC employees urging motorists to “Put The Phone Down.” View the video and more information at www.putthephonedownindiana.com.
