Indiana’s Jobs for America’s Graduates recognized the JAG program
Indiana’s Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) recognized the Northwest Indiana JAG program for their efforts in increasing graduation rates, post-secondary education and employment placements. Northwest Indiana’s JAG program also received the “5 of 5” Award. This award goes to exemplary JAG programs that achieve success levels in excess of the national program goals for graduation rates, employment, positive outcomes and full-time placement. Indiana was recognized for the fifth straight year with the most scholarships secured for their students. Indiana JAG students earned over $26 million to assist with their post-secondary educational pursuits; the second place state was less than $8 million. Northwest Indiana JAG students earned over $4.3 million in scholarships this past year. Schools where students secured scholarships were AK Smith-Michigan City, Calumet New Tech, East Chicago Central, Gary West Leadership I and II, Gary Roosevelt, Knox High School, Hammond High School, and Wirt/Emerson VPA.
