The St. Joseph County (Indiana) Prosecutor’s Office released an update Friday regarding the investigation in which two individuals were shot and injured in a parking lot in the 300 block of West Marion Street, South Bend, Thursday evening. One individual, 25 year old Gage Burger, was taken to the hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head. At the issuance of this release, he remains in critical condition. The second individual, 32 year old Luvelle Neal, was treated and released from the hospital. He was subsequently booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on an outstanding warrant from an unrelated charge. He currently remains in custody at the Jail. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit (CMHU) is processing a vehicle and has interviewed several people in connection with this investigation.
