Roadwork Project on 94 between State Road 249 and 49
BURNS HARBOR, Ind. – Interstate 94 will be reduced to one lane in either direction between State Road 249 and State Road 49 for one to two nights beginning Monday, Nov. 24, weather permitting.
As part of an ongoing bridge rehabilitation project, Indiana Department of Transportation contractors will be restriping I-94 and switching traffic between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., starting with the eastbound lanes.
Once this work is completed, I-94 will be reopened to three lanes in each direction between S.R. 249 and U.S. 20. Traffic will remain restricted to two lanes for construction between U.S. 20 and S.R. 49.
