North Korea launches missile on American Independence Day

Photodisc/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — North Korea launched a ballistic missile from a province near the border with China on Tuesday, South Korea’s military said.

The unidentified ballistic missile was fired into the East Sea from the Banghyon, North Pyongan Province in the morning, according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff said.

The missile was launched on July 4, the day America celebrates 241 years of independence.
