Congressman Pete Visclosky announced that the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has awarded a grant to South Shore Arts under the Arts Engagement in American Communities program. Specifically, the grant award will support a South Shore Arts instructor to provide art supplies and lead students in Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties in art projects. All Arts Engagement in American Communities grant awards are for $10,000 and generally aim to support professional arts programming, including the presentation of artists or artwork and educational programs.
