Vehicle Crashes through Valpo house Injuries Two
VALPARAISO – Early this morning (1:05 a.m.) police responded to a crash just off Vale Park Rd. Police responded and located a trail of damage along Vale Park Road just east of Calumet Ave. The trail ended with a vehicle crashes through two fences and coming to a stop inside a home at 1516 Aster Ave.
Police immediately learned that two individuals were trapped inside the home in their bedroom. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Ivoree Richardson 27 year old of Valparaiso. Richardson displayed strong signs of intoxication and police located a bottle of an alcoholic beverage inside her vehicle.
Valparaiso Fire and EMS freed the individuals inside the house, a 45 year old male, and a 45 year old female were air lifted to a Chicago Hospital. Their current conditions are not known.
Richardson was transported to Porter Regional Hospital for treatment and the first blood draw resulted in a .434 H mg/dl. Over five times the legal limit. Richardson was treated and released from the hospital.
She was transported to Porter County Jail and charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Causing Serious Bodily Injury, OWI with a Prior/Felony, OWI while Endangering Others and Operating a vehicle over .15% BAC.
