Two arrested in connection with homicides in St. Joseph County

27 year old Benito Pedraza, and 29 year old Jesus Pedraza have been charged and arrested in connection with the August 2nd homicides of Anton James and Damon Bethel. Benito Pedraza was charged on September 12th, with three (3) counts of Murder and one count of Attempted Robbery, a Level 5 Felony. Probable cause was found and an arrest warrant ordered issued. Defendant was ordered held without bond. He was arrested on the warrant in this cause number yesterday evening and booked into the St. Joseph County Jail, where he remains in custody. Jesus Pedraza was charged on September 12th, with two (2) counts of Murder and one count of Attempted Robbery, a Level 5 Felony. Probable cause was found and an arrest warrant ordered issued. Defendant was ordered held without bond. Jesus Pedraza was arrested yesterday evening and booked into the St. Joseph County Jail, where he remains in custody.  Please be advised that the charges filed against these defendants are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
