Barker Hall Silent Movie Festival featuring 1920’s classics

Film lovers will turn back the clock to the 1920’s golden age of silent films in Michigan City, at the Barker Hall Silent Movie Festival. Accompanied by live music, classic silent films will be shown on the hall’s original 1929 movie screen.

Saturday, October 21, the suspense filled Nosferatu will be shown.  Sunday, October 22, is comedy night with several Charlie Chaplin short films tracing the development of his Little Tramp character.

Popcorn and classic movie candy will be available to complete the movie going experience. Films will be shown at 7:00 PM at Barker Hall, located at 600 Franklin St., in Michigan City. Advance Tickets for the two night series are $18 per person, available online through Individual tickets are $10 per person at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Trinity Music and Arts Academy, providing free keyboard and vocal training for area youth.
