The La Porte County Drug Task Force announces that charges have been filed against a La Porte County man, for allegedly dealing methamphetamine. Kyle R. COUCH (26) of La Porte was charged with Dealing Methamphetamine Level 4 Felony (two counts), and Dealing Methamphetamine Level 5 Felony.

The LCDTF began an investigation into COUCH in early 2018, after numerous complaints from citizens in La Porte, as well as the southern La Porte County area, indicated that COUCH had been manufacturing/distributing methamphetamine, throughout La Porte County. Sgt. Andy Hynek, lead detective in the case presented evidence to The La Porte County Prosecutors Office, where probable cause was found by Judge Thomas Alevizos in La Porte County Circuit Court, to charge COUCH with Dealing in Methamphetamine.

On Monday February 19th, 2018 The LCDTF executed a search warrant in the 2000 E. Block of State Road 4, with the assistance of The Indiana State Police, where evidence of methamphetamine manufacturing was located. COUCH was taken into custody, on unrelated charges in Morgan County, Illinois where he is currently being held pending his extradition back to La Porte County.

Assisting The La Porte County Drug Task Force in this investigation was The La Porte County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, La Porte County Adult Probation Department, and The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Unit.

The LCDTF reminds citizens that they can anonymously report suspected drug activity via the crime tip hotline (219)-873-1488, or social media. **All arrested subjects are presumed innocent until proven guility**
