There was a Fatal train accident during the Monday afternoon rush. A freight train struck a vehicle near the Lake & Porter County Line Road at Route 12 & County Line Rd on the east side of Gary. This caused Eastbound South Shore Trains to have slight delays for the rest of the evening.
