Late last month, the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office began a child pornography investigation. A Deputy within the Patrol Division was provided the initial information. Immediately following, Sheriff’s Office Detectives began to actively work and follow-up on the case. A suspect, 36 year old Rusty D. Reuille, was quickly identified. As a result of the investigation, a criminal arrest warrant was issued for Reuille on May 3rd. The criminal arrest warrant for Reuille was for the following charges: two counts of Felony Child Molestation, two counts of Felony Promotion Of Human Trafficking Of A Minor, one count of Felony Child Exploitation, and three counts of Felony Possession of Child Pornography. Late last evening and early this morning, FAST, the Warrants Division and Patrol Deputies narrowed their search for Reuille to a residence in the Colonial Trailer Park Community, located in the 6200 block of North CR 400 West. Upon attempting to make contact with Reuille, a single gunshot was heard coming from a direction of the residence. Upon making entry into the interior of the residence, Reuille was found deceased.
