The Dunes Arts Foundation (DAF) and the Dunes Summer Theatre present the musical The Spitfire Grill, directed by Steve Scott from the Goodman Theater, along with Musical Director, Jeff Otto. The play runs from May 25 through June 10 with performances every Friday/Saturday at 7 pm CST and Sunday at 2 pm CST at 288 Shady Oak Drive, Michigan City, IN 46360.

A special “Celebration of the Arts” FUNraiser occurs during the June 9 performance. For a $50 donation, patrons will enjoy food from Fiddleheads, a drink ticket, music provided by Debra Sawyer, from the group AhTu, as well as the performance of THE SPITFIRE GRILL. The June 9th event begins at 5:30 pm CST.

The Spitfire Grill is a story of redemption and love. The play centers around a young woman, who arrives in a small town in Maine after a brief stint in prison. With hopes of beginning a new life, she lands a job at The Spitfire Grill which is owned by a woman with a gruff exterior and little tolerance for the grill’s regular customers.  To order tickets for the show, FUNraiser, or classes, visit dunesartsfoundation.org or call 219-879-7509.
