Michigan City Woman In Running For Miss Indiana

This coming Sunday, June 10th, 63 outstanding young women from all over Indiana will gather in Zionsville to begin competition for more than $40 thousand in scholarships and the titles of Miss Indiana and Miss Indiana’s Outstanding Teen 2018. Three nights of preliminary competition on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings will culminate in the Miss Indiana Final Competition on Saturday, June 18th starting at 6:00 p.m. and by the end of the evening, both Miss Indiana and Miss Indiana’s Outstanding Teen 2018 will be crowned! Tickets are still available for purchase at www.MissIndiana.org. Fans, friends and family can help ensure that their favorite contestant secures a spot in the Final Competition by voting for her at http://missindiana.org/public_html/index.php/state-contestants/ to be a finalist! Only the Top 10 contestants in Miss and Teen, plus the People’s Choice winners will compete for the titles on Finals Night. Each vote costs $1.00. 23 year old Demie Johnson, of Michigan City, is Miss Hoosier Heartland. A graduate of Ball State University with a degree in journalism/telecommunications, Demie’s talent is vocal performance and her personal platform is “Cancer Connection: Educate to Eliminate.”
