Opportunity Enterprises will host their annual Celebration of Achievement awards breakfast on June 28, 2018 at 8 am at Aberdeen Manor. The awards are presented to individuals with disabilities in recognition of outstanding achievement in meeting personal goals. Awards are also presented to outstanding volunteers, staff, and businesses for supporting individuals with disabilities. An inspirational program will be hosted by Marc Ruiz, OE board member and senior partner at Oak Partners in Valparaiso.
The clients, staff, volunteers, and businesses were nominated by fellow clients and staff and a blind vote was held by the Board of Directors to select the award recipients. Being recognized this year are the following recipients of the 2018 Celebration of Achievement awards.
Clients of the Year: Jacob Sosbe, Daily Living Skills; Ryan Florkiewicz, Enriching Possibilities; Donald Ferry, Renewed Horizons; Nicolas Aldridge, Quest; Russell Hill, TREND; Kamron Glassford, Residential;Derek Rogers, Business Services; and Muhammad Atiq, JobSource.
Advocates of the Year: Julie Hudec, Jeanne Baird Volunteer of the Year; Cathy Schiesser, Jessica Wolfe Outstanding Direct Support Professional; Patti Terry, Outstanding Staff Member; and NIPSCO, Business of the Year.
The 2018 Celebration of Achievement Awards Breakfast is sponsored by Fifth Third Bank, Urschel Laboratories, Indiana Beverage, WIMS Radio, Metro Recycling, and the Germann Family. The event features plated breakfast, inspirational program, gourmet coffee bar, and on-site Simply Amazing Market featuring client designed ceramic dishes for purchase.
