Community members are invited to a free fall health fair on Saturday, October 20. The event takes place in the Legacy Center at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Michigan City. The event runs from 9 am to 4 pm, with vendors and presentations scheduled throughout the day.
Guests will be able to get flu shots from Walgreens, and HealthLinc will be on hand to administer blood pressure and glucometer checks. Among the eighteen vendors are Franciscan Health, Paws for Healthcare (therapy animals), and Indiana Dunes State Park (outdoor exercise options). Vendors will offer freebies, food samples, and valuable information about staying healthy during the fall and winter months. Scheduled presentations include Healing Body, Mind and Soul with Dr. Enad (9 am), SoulCore Prayer and Stretching with Amy O’Donnell (10 am), Sleep Health with Dr. Dickover (11:30 am), Navigating Medicare with Renetta Pavot (1 pm), and Healthy Homes with the Board of Health and Anne Klute (2:30 pm). Those attending presentations and visiting vendor tables will be eligible to win prizes, including passes from Planet Fitness, a wellness basket from Bayer, Panera gift cards, and more.
