After 8 years of service with the Porter County Sheriff’s Department, it has come time for K9 Joker to retire and enjoy his time at home. Porter County Sheriff’s Department stated, “Joker is almost 10 years old now and has done his time on the streets chasing down bad guys and had a great career doing just that! K9 Joker completed his last shift on Oct. 24, 2018 with his handler, Lt Matt Edwards. He was welcomed him with a surprise, ice cream and balloons from his family. Thank Joker for your service and Lt Edwards for your 15 years of unwavering commitment to the success of our K9 Division.”
