The League of Women Voters of LaPorte County will host Cathy Martin for their Tuesday, November 13, Dinner With The League. Cathy is Program Manager at Save the Dunes, and worked on the Indiana Dunes Climate Change Adaptation Plan coordinated by Save the Dunes in partnership with the Field Museum. She has expertise in conservation planning and natural resource protection and restoration in Northwest Indiana’s high quality natural areas. Cathy will update the guests on current and on-going efforts to deal with climate change in the Indiana Dunes and surrounding areas. Cathy’s work, and that of her colleagues at Save the Dunes, is critical to the flourishing of our Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, State Park, and the surrounding areas – including our LaPorte County neighborhoods. This informative presentation at Dinner With the League, will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Patrick’s Grille, 4125 Franklin Street, Michigan City. The general public is invited and reservations are not required. For non-members, a donation is requested. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 5:30 and may purchase a dinner of their choice from the menu; the presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Lunch/Dinner With The League presents timely and relevant discussions about local issues every 2nd Tuesday of the month at Patrick’s Grille.
