Michigan City Man Arrested For Marijuana and Handgun Following Traffic Stop
Michigan City Police Captain Jeff Loniewski conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of South Woodland Avenue and Welnetz Road on February 28th, 2019 at approximately 11:44 AM. He identified the driver as 21-year-old Michigan City resident Armahni Jackson. It was discovered during the traffic stop that Mr. Jackson was in possession of a handgun and marijuana. Mr. Jackson did not have a license to carry the handgun and his driving privileges were suspended after having a prior conviction. He was subsequently arrested for Carrying a Handgun Without a License (A-Misd.), Possession of Marijuana (A-Misd.) and Driving While Suspended with a Prior Conviction (A-Misd.).
