INDOT announced that lane closures are in place as part of a road widening/center turn lane project on U.S. 20 in Michigan City.

U.S. 20 will be one lane in each direction between Woodland Avenue and Johnson Road until mid-October as this phase of the project gets started. For a portion of this stretch, westbound traffic will be shifted into the eastbound lanes. There are other phases to this project happening throughout the summer, including a resurfacing of U.S. 20 between U.S. 421 and Woodland Avenue and from Johnson Road to State Road 212. Those portions of the project will start later this year.
