Governor Eric Holcomb will chair a joint public meeting of the board of directors of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) and the Indiana Economic Development Foundation Inc. at 12:15 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, June 19, at Urschel Laboratories Inc. in Chesterton.
The entrepreneurship, audit and finance, and business development committees of the board of directors of the IEDC will also hold public meetings on Wednesday at Urschel Laboratories.
9:15 a.m. CDT – Business development committee meeting
9:45 a.m. CDT – Entrepreneurship committee meeting
10:15 a.m. CDT – Audit and finance committee meeting
Prior, the entrepreneurship and business development committees will hold executive sessions at 9 a.m. CDT at Urschel Laboratories, and the audit and finance committee  will hold an executive session at 9:30 a.m. CDT at Urschel Laboratories. In addition, the board of directors of the IEDC will meet in executive session at 11 a.m. CDT at Urschel Laboratories.

Cedar Fair theme parks and the Red Cross partner to offer blood donors thrilling summer fun
This summer, the American Red Cross and Cedar Fair theme parks are partnering to offer a free Cedar Fair park ticket to those who come to donate blood at select blood drives. The Cedar Fair ticket offer will be available at these upcoming Red Cross blood drives:
6/20/2019, Indiana University Northwest – Gary, 9 am-3 pm, 3400 Broadway, Gary, IN
6/26/2019, Fairhaven Baptist Church, 12-6 pm, 86 East Oak Hill Rd, Chesterton, IN
6/28/2019, Living Hope, 1-7 pm, 9000 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN
7/3/2019, Valparaiso Public Library, 10 am-4 pm, 103 Jefferson St, Valparaiso, IN
7/26/2019, Indiana Department of Transportation, 8 am-1 pm, 315 East Boyd, LaPorte, IN
All those who come to donate at select blood drives will receive one free ticket, valid for entry to participating U.S. Cedar Fair parks, including Cedar Point, Kings Island and others, while supplies last. Appointments are strongly encouraged. Those with appointments will be take first. Tickets are valid through Sept. 2nd, and other restrictions may apply. Donors can also visit RedCrossBlood.org/CedarFair to take advantage of an exclusive ticket offer that gives $2 of each ticket purchased online back to the Red Cross.
The partnership with Cedar Fair includes 10 parks across the U.S. with a goal of increasing blood and platelet donations during the summer months when donations decrease, but the need remains constant.
